How to Create a Chocolate Coca-Cola Mug Cake with Share a Coke
Are you knee-deep in the busy holiday season yet?
The holidays are pure insanity around here, not just in my personal life, but here on the Divas Can Cook as well.
My inbox gets swamped with questions, comments and invitations. It’s really exciting and exhausting, but yet every holiday I always seem to get through it just fine. How you ask? Two words, my husband!
Seriously guys, I honestly don’t know where I’d be without that amazing man!
When the kitchen is a wreck after a full day of filming cooking videos, he swoops right in and cleans everything up.
When I’m stressing over holiday post deadlines he takes the boys on fun adventures to get them out of the house so that I can have peace and quiet to work.
Oh and I can’t even count the multiple times he’s done emergency grocery store runs to pick up items I always seem to forget!
He truly is my saving grace around this time of year and that is why my I’m recognizing him as my “unsung holiday hero”!
I’ve teamed up with Coca-Cola’s #ShareaCoke to shine the spotlight on the amazing people in our lives that go the extra mile to make the holidays extra special.
Whether it’s the friendly cashier that always greets you with a warm smile, the dedicated teacher that helps your child make holiday gifts or even your neighbor who passes out homemade holiday cookies, these unsung heroes often go unnoticed.
Yet, they go above and beyond to make sure the people around them are happy. This busy holiday season is the perfect time to show them just how much we appreciate them. Nothing says thoughtfulness like a customized gift! Coco-Cola’s #ShareaCoke allows you to create personalized coke bottles with a name or phrase.
They are great as affordable stand-alone gifts and stocking stuffers or paired in a gift basket.
To show my husband just how much I appreciate him I created this quick and easy chocolate Cocoa-Cola mug cake gift. He isn’t much of a cook and he loves chocolate cake and Coca-Cola so this was the perfect gift for him. I placed it on the driver’s seat in his truck right before he was about to run one of my many last minute grocery store errands.
He really loved the gift!

#ShareACoke I’d have to say my Unsung Hero would be my only child, my son Teyon II. His father passed away from cancer in 2010 so he withdrew from everyone; especially during holidays. Recently he has been on the upswing: upped his credit score to the high 700s, purchased his first home on his own, paid off his car, learned how to do his own handy work for his home and is overjoyed with having his son, Teyon III. He is the chief of being frugal but his objective for all of this was to be able to bring family together for our favorite holidays. I know his dad is proud as am I.
#shareacoke, My unsung hero is my Mom, who took care of seven children two and three years apart.Doing domestic jobs in order for each of us to have a decent enjoyable Christmas. A cancer survivor she still puts her children and now grandchildren at the top of her list. She is a strong woman of faith and has instilled this same faith in each of us seven siblings. I am very thankful for my Mom and love her dearly.
My children are really getting me through the holidays this year. After we had our 2nd child earlier this year we both lost our jobs. This year has been incredibly trying. But our babies have kept us motivated and happy. This holiday season goes out to them.

My unsung hero is my dad. He has always been such a hardworking man and he goes above and beyond to make me and my mom’s life easier. He cooks, he cleans, he does grocery shopping. I’m in college right now, so when I’m swamped with work, he always very understanding and gives me so much support (monetarily and emotionally). I feel blessed everyday to have a family like mine. I look around and honestly, I dont see many dads that are comparable to mine. 😉 Dont get me wrong, sometimes I feel like his life goal is to annoy me to DEATH and I want to choke him at times but over all I know I have the BEST dad in the world. He’s my unsung hero and I dont know what I;d do without him. <3
P.S I absolutely love you Monique lol, your seriously the best and your recipes are the bomb.com!
My unsung holday hero is my husband. No matter how much crazy I throw his way, he’s always supportive and loving. We work for the same company and every morning, he takes my bag and coat in the car. It’s the small things that make me appreciate him. He’s always concerned about my safety and if I am okay. We drive each other crazy sometimes but in the end, it’s all love and we are best friends. Can’t imagine my life without him.
My unsung hero is my father., his birthday was on christmas. My father brought so much warmth and joy to the family with his bright sense of humor and the delicious meals that he prepared for us with love. He died before his time, when I was still young, but his memories warm my holidays, just thinking about who he was to us all and the joy that he brought us. Win or not,,God bless you and your family Monique
