How to Create a Chocolate Coca-Cola Mug Cake with Share a Coke
Are you knee-deep in the busy holiday season yet?
The holidays are pure insanity around here, not just in my personal life, but here on the Divas Can Cook as well.
My inbox gets swamped with questions, comments and invitations. It’s really exciting and exhausting, but yet every holiday I always seem to get through it just fine. How you ask? Two words, my husband!
Seriously guys, I honestly don’t know where I’d be without that amazing man!
When the kitchen is a wreck after a full day of filming cooking videos, he swoops right in and cleans everything up.
When I’m stressing over holiday post deadlines he takes the boys on fun adventures to get them out of the house so that I can have peace and quiet to work.
Oh and I can’t even count the multiple times he’s done emergency grocery store runs to pick up items I always seem to forget!
He truly is my saving grace around this time of year and that is why my I’m recognizing him as my “unsung holiday hero”!
I’ve teamed up with Coca-Cola’s #ShareaCoke to shine the spotlight on the amazing people in our lives that go the extra mile to make the holidays extra special.
Whether it’s the friendly cashier that always greets you with a warm smile, the dedicated teacher that helps your child make holiday gifts or even your neighbor who passes out homemade holiday cookies, these unsung heroes often go unnoticed.
Yet, they go above and beyond to make sure the people around them are happy. This busy holiday season is the perfect time to show them just how much we appreciate them. Nothing says thoughtfulness like a customized gift! Coco-Cola’s #ShareaCoke allows you to create personalized coke bottles with a name or phrase.
They are great as affordable stand-alone gifts and stocking stuffers or paired in a gift basket.
To show my husband just how much I appreciate him I created this quick and easy chocolate Cocoa-Cola mug cake gift. He isn’t much of a cook and he loves chocolate cake and Coca-Cola so this was the perfect gift for him. I placed it on the driver’s seat in his truck right before he was about to run one of my many last minute grocery store errands.
He really loved the gift!

Hey ladies, my unsung holiday hero is my Daddy. For as long as I can remember he was always the one cooking our Sunday dinners or big holiday meals. Once I got older & wanted to make his recipes, he was happy to share & show me exactly what he did or where I could deviate. Once I took over cooking for the holidays, he was always happy to offer up his kitchen. After college & a baby, I could still call & count on him to tell me what ingredient I was missing or something I could substitute because I couldn’t go back to the store. He always could tell when I was getting flustered with cooking with a baby so he’d reason with me & tell me to “take careoif that boy.” This summer, my Daddy went to live with Jesus, so for the holidays I’m making his favorite dishes & taking care of my boy just like he told me to.
My Husband is definitely my unsung hero. He is currently working two jobs so that I can go to college. Whenever I am too busy to clean or pick up something for our 4 kids he’s right there ready and willing to help out even after working two jobs. This post certainly reminded me to show him just how much he means to me and none of his efforts is in vain. Happy Holidays Monique!
My hero is my husband. From the time that I was diagnosed with cancer he has been my stronghold. He takes such perfect care of me and so protective. He was sent to me by God. He is the greatest husband, father and grandfather this side of heaven.
My mom is my unsung hero. She is a state away from me and my family and still is able to put a touch directly on our lives. She’s called daily while shopping to read the back of boxes, ratings and reviews, make sure everyone would like what she is looking at and on and on. It seems bothersome on the surface but I know it’s because she is so thoughtful and really thinks about us daily.
My eight year old nephew. Watching the innocence of a child who believes in santa brings joy to my holiday!
My great grandmother is what makes my holidays special. She knows how to bring the family together and keep the drama at minimum. She always reminds us that regardless of what petty fights and pointless drama that may occur we, as a family, should always be able to come together as one and remember that we are all we have in this world. She always gives a reality check but in a loving way and I am grateful to God that he has allowed her to be apart of our lives.
