How to Create a Chocolate Coca-Cola Mug Cake with Share a Coke
Are you knee-deep in the busy holiday season yet?
The holidays are pure insanity around here, not just in my personal life, but here on the Divas Can Cook as well.
My inbox gets swamped with questions, comments and invitations. It’s really exciting and exhausting, but yet every holiday I always seem to get through it just fine. How you ask? Two words, my husband!
Seriously guys, I honestly don’t know where I’d be without that amazing man!
When the kitchen is a wreck after a full day of filming cooking videos, he swoops right in and cleans everything up.
When I’m stressing over holiday post deadlines he takes the boys on fun adventures to get them out of the house so that I can have peace and quiet to work.
Oh and I can’t even count the multiple times he’s done emergency grocery store runs to pick up items I always seem to forget!
He truly is my saving grace around this time of year and that is why my I’m recognizing him as my “unsung holiday hero”!
I’ve teamed up with Coca-Cola’s #ShareaCoke to shine the spotlight on the amazing people in our lives that go the extra mile to make the holidays extra special.
Whether it’s the friendly cashier that always greets you with a warm smile, the dedicated teacher that helps your child make holiday gifts or even your neighbor who passes out homemade holiday cookies, these unsung heroes often go unnoticed.
Yet, they go above and beyond to make sure the people around them are happy. This busy holiday season is the perfect time to show them just how much we appreciate them. Nothing says thoughtfulness like a customized gift! Coco-Cola’s #ShareaCoke allows you to create personalized coke bottles with a name or phrase.
They are great as affordable stand-alone gifts and stocking stuffers or paired in a gift basket.
To show my husband just how much I appreciate him I created this quick and easy chocolate Cocoa-Cola mug cake gift. He isn’t much of a cook and he loves chocolate cake and Coca-Cola so this was the perfect gift for him. I placed it on the driver’s seat in his truck right before he was about to run one of my many last minute grocery store errands.
He really loved the gift!

I am truly blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people in my life – my big, soft hearted husband, my co-workers who all feel like family to me, my father who has recently ungone his first surgery in his entire 63 years, my mom who beat cancer at the age of 60, my in-loves, and my four WONDERFUL children, and many others. However, I am going to have to set my “unsung heros” are my two oldes children (18 & 22). They have SUCH a ginormous heart and they are really sadden when they see others who are less fortunate than we are. On there own, and not knowing that the other had done the same, bought food for some homeless people in our area. I was in total awe. It meant so much to me to know that ‘children’ their age (MY CHILDREN!) see mankind as humans regardless of their circumstances and not frown upon one because of their misfortune but would rather lend a hand.
My holiday hero is my fiancé. He always helps me whenever I needed. He knew how much Xmas means to me and how important it is for me to make sure my son has a great Xmas. This year I took on a part time job (as I do every season since I am a full time student) at Home Depot in Aug. A week later I had to quit because the requirements of my internship was too demanding. I was worried and stressed that I couldn’t make Xmas happen for my son plus donthe internship to graduate a few days before Xmas. My fiancé took me on a ride a few weeks ago. We went shopping that morning as he did his routine part of Xmas plus covered mines, This will still be a great Xmas. ❤️
#Shareacoke My Holiday Hero is my mother. She was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s about two years ago and has not missed a beat. She gives back to the community and volunteers at the church daily. She is highly active and has the most positive spirit. Her motto is I am going to fight until I can’t fight anymore. She has her foggy days but she is constantly pushing herself not to give up so she constantly does more. Her faith in God is so much bigger than this disease. I am proud of her for instilling and showing daily the model for perseverance.
My hero is my boyfriend, the father of my children, the most patient man in the world. He is a stay at home dad and then goes off to work till midnight sometimes later to work on his own business. Things are financially and emotionally hard, but yet, he always is there for our family and me.
My parents would be my holiday hero’s! My father passed last years but my my parents always made sure we had awesome Christmas s when I was growing up! Even if money was tight they always pulled through for u! They set us up with many tradition s I now use with my children! They always made sure we had all the extras for our kids when we were struggling! I’m greatful for them!
My hero is my mother. She raised three kids by herself, without any help. She worked at least two jobs at a time to make sure we were taken care of. She’s retired now, but still takes care of my stepfather, who is a Vietnam veteran and he has bone cancer, which requires frequent trips to the hospital for chemo. My mother does all of this while trying to take care of herself too. …..
