I’m in LOVE!!! I never thought I’d be in love with a dish liquid. I thought they were all pretty much the same but I was wrong!! I can honestly say that I’ve now switched over to Seventh Generation dish liquid.
I would have never purchased this stuff if I hadn’t received it in a giveaway. I normally just grab my Dawn and keep it moving.
Well I washed dishes last night with the Fresh Citrus & Ginger scent and the lather was incredible! I only needed a small amount and my dishes were literally squeaky clean.
Guess what else I discovered this stuff was super good at? Washing my dog! I know this isn’t intended for dog shampoo but I’ve heard that Dawn doubled as a good dog shampoo so why not. I mean, it is natural. I ran out of dog shampoo and decided to try it. It got her so clean and she smelled better than when I take her to the groomers!!
The organic dish towels are GREAT too!! Thick and sturdy just how I like them! I was hoping I could find more when I went grocery sopping today but I didn’t see any. I haven’t had a chance to use any of the other products in the kit, but I do plan on making a turkey vegetable lasagna tomorrow so I’ll give that Le Crueset pan a spin!

I have found a couple easy to use green options. Instead of throwing away the Sunday paper, I recycle it for multiply uses from cleaning the mirrors to using it under my cutting board when trimming meats. The paper keeps the board in place and it also makes for a quick and easy clean up because it collect all the throw away parts. Also, in a bag I collect the lint from the dryer. It will come in handy this fall and winter when making a fire in the fireplace. The lint take the place of quick starter logs.
I am so excited that I won!
I am new to eco-friendly cleaners. I am looking forward to learning all of the tips on this post. One thing that I do to clean the microwave is to cut open a lemon, put it in a bowl of water, and warm it in the microwave for about 2-3 minutes on HIGH. The steam cleans all the gunk off the top & sided of the microwave, and the lemon gives it a fresh, citrusy scent.
I used vinegar rather than the harsher cleaning products to clean clothes, floors, and dishes. When doing the floors I mix just a little fragrance in to kill the vinegar smell. It works really well.
sorry i gues that wasn’t a “housekeeping” tip. I love using baking soda to clean my marble top furniture !!!
Lemon juice is my new best friend. I use it on my windows, mirrors, glass tables, as furniture polish, or to remove stains from my tile floor. A few drops diluted goes a long way, and also lives a fresh clean smell!
I melt down left over bar soap, pour it into a plastic mold and voila! New, wonderful smelling soap for free! (well almost)!
