Granny Smith apples
about 4 apples (peeled and diced/grated into tiny pieces)

buttermilk
VANILLA GLAZE

powdered sugar
sifted

splash of vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Grease and flour a bundt pan. Set aside.
In a large bowl cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
Mix in eggs.
Mix in vanilla extract and butter extract.
Fold in applesauce. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together very well, flour, baking soda, salt, 3 teaspoons cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
Mix in the dry ingredients into wet ingredients alternating with the buttermilk.
Mix diced apples with remaining cinnamon and fold into batter.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 50-60 minutes or until moist crumbs clings to toothpick after being inserted into the cake. (Check it at the 45-minute mark)
Remove from oven and let sit in a pan until pan is warm. (The cake will continue to cook as it cools so be careful not to overbake.)
Remove cake from pan and let cool completely on a cooling rack.
Combine the glaze ingredients until smooth and pourable. (adding more half n half a little at a time if needed)
Drizzle over cooled cake.
Serve once glaze has hardened (flavor intensifies the next day!)
