Chewy M&M Cookie Bars
What do you make when it’s freezing, windy and rainy outside and you have two sick little boys on your hands? You make m&m cookie bars that’s what! I mean seriously, wouldn’t these just cheer you right up?
I use to LOVE it when my mom or grandmother made cookie bars growing up. Cookies are cool and all but there is just something about the cookie BAR. Thick, chewy, and chocked full of chocolate chips or whatever you choose to add in them.
I will go on record and say these are the BEST m&m cookie bars EVERRR!!! I’ve had plenty of cookie bars in my day and these lovelies bake up thick, chewy and soft in all the right places. They are full of m&m’s which makes me so happy!
I don’t know too many kids that wouldn’t love to come home from school to a plate of these babies and a tall glass of milk waiting on them.
Isaac said these m&m cookie bars were the “best things he’s ever tasted in his whole life” lol So I’m thinking I’ll be making these more often now. It’s really just a good blondie recipe with m&m’s added in. It has a delicious buttery taste that is pretty darn addictive. I’m not even going to tell you how many I had.
Watch me make these chewy m&m cookie bars from start to finish!

These are awesome! I thought for sure they would be hard and crunchy the second day, but they are still perfectly soft and delicious!
the first time i made this, wow! my colleagues at work love it. easy to prepare.this is my favorite recipe! x-o-x-0!
These bars are VERY dry!! The chocolate chip cookie recipe I usually use has the same amount of flour as in the above recipe, but it uses 1 cup of butter (2 sticks) and 2 whole eggs. That 4 tbsp. of butter and that extra egg white makes a difference!! I should have gone with my gut when I realized it was the same amount of flour. Unless you folks have way bigger eggs in your neck of the woods, but I should have added another egg, then it might have been allright. Wasted 2 good bags of Valentine M & M’s!! Well, my husband and sons still ate them, but not as fast as my baking usually goes around here!!!
Well you’ve been doing it wrong. It uses 3/4 cup of butter! I made these 5x and they are super duper super good! But no offense.
As per my daughter’s recommendation, I used peanut butter m and m’s. She had made them that way too and they were amazing.
Hi! I just made these with peanut butter m&ms instead and plan on using this base for all future blondies. The texture is amazing! So fluffy and chewy and perfect! It is hard to not eat them all at once.
Well I don’t know where I went wrong with my recipe but the mixture was far too runny. I’ve checked and double checked that I followed the recipe correctly. I ended up with m&m cake!
