Not only are they perfect for the occasion but they are so easy to create! You can find everything that I used for my hot chocolate and dessert bar at Walmart! You can also breathe a sigh of relief now because there is nothing like one-stop shopping during the hectic holidays! Stay ahead of the game with Walmart Grocery which allows you to do your food shopping online so it’s ready for a quick same-day pickup.

Ok let’s get started, we’ve got a menu to plan!

Hot Chocolate Bar

There are so many warm and cozy drinks that will go well at a holiday gift wrapping party but none as classic as hot chocolate! If you have a slow cooker consider making this homemade hot chocolate recipe below. It creates such a creamy hot chocolate, and the slow cooker will keep it steaming for the entire party.

Next, it’s time to think about the hot chocolate “accessories”! This is what makes a hot chocolate bar so irresistible! Choose a few of your favorite hot chocolate add-ins like various flavors of Hershey Kisses, marshmallows, and flavored sauces.

Don’t forget the stirrers! Get creative here and use things such as cinnamon sticks, candy canes, or flavored spoons!

Now that we have a signature drink of the evening, it’s time to move to desserts!

Dessert Bar

I prefer bite-sized desserts. They are just easier to eat and work out great.

Now as much as I’m #teamhomemade on this blog, I know how bananas the holidays can get. The last thing you want to be doing is creating various, from-scratch, bite-sized desserts the day of your party! Remember, short, sweet, & simple!

You wanna know a secret that I use when I need quick desserts that taste delicious? I head to the freezer section! Shhh.. don’t tell anybody. It’s just between us, ok? Seriously! You’d be surprised at how “homemade” freezer baked goods can taste! Walmart’s freezer section is where we’ll be shopping to create one easy, delicious and affordable dessert buffet!

You’ll love that you can purchase all of these items weeks in advance and when it’s time for the party, just heat, arrange them on a pretty platter and serve! Ahhh..stress-free feels so good! For this dessert bar, I’m going with several different treats. Great Value’s Sweet Treats in Red Velvet and pumpkin spice, mini eclairs, and stuffed donut bites.

Have you ever had these Sweet Treats? These were a new frozen treat find for me, and I couldn’t wait to add them to the dessert bar! They are warm, sweet and tender bread bites!

The red velvet flavor has a caramel cinnamon topping, and cream cheese frosting and the pumpkin spice version has a caramel cinnamon topping and vanilla nutmeg icing.

You just pop these in the microwave or oven to heat and that’s it! In a matter of minutes, you have warm, gooey treats that go great with hot chocolate.

Now wasn’t that simple? The only thing left to do is add a few holiday touches to the table like
pine garland, lights, and festive platters! How’s that for quick and easy!?

Happy gift wrapping!!
