I love dessert dips and was really excited to try out this cookie dough dip that I’ve been seeing on countless blogs. I figured if everyone was making it then it MUST be good! I mean who doesn’t love cookie dough!?

The thing is, I didn’t have anywhere or anyone to take it to and judging from the sinful ingredients of butter, sugar, cream cheese, and candy bits I wasn’t about to have this stuff sitting in my refrigerator tempting me.

Then I remember that I had my sister’s baby shower coming up, BINGO!!!! Cookie dough is such a popular pregnancy craving and I’m a firm believer of having at least one craving food at a baby shower.

This cookie dough dip is creamy, sweet, crunchy, sinful, and yep you’ll feel so guilty yet oddly unregretful and naughty after eating it.  It’s like eating a piece of chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake!!! Some things in life are just worth it.

You only need about a spoonful to get your sweet fix.

I like to serve the dip in small clear cups with an assorted tray of dipping items. That way each guest can take a little cup and dip their hearts out.

You can create a tray that consists of graham cracker sticks (plain and chocolate) pretzels, brownie bites, peanuts, chips, bacon, and even pickles. It taste good all by itself as well.

My favorite thing to dip in this cookie dough dip is Lays plain potato chips! Yep, something about that salty- sweet combination is just sooooo perfect!!! My son was dipping honey BBQ fritos in his and believe it or not it was actually pretty good.

Watch me make this loaded cookie dough dip from start to finish!
