Light Cream Cheese Frosting

  • (2) 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 stick real butter, softened
  • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  1. Beat cream cheese, butter and heavy whipping cream until fluffy and combined.
  2. Add vanilla.
  3. Mix in powdered sugar a little at a time.
  4. Mix on high speed until creamy and light.
  5. Add more cream or powdered sugar to adjust the thickness if needed.
~TIPS~ Kick it up! Add extracts such and orange, peppermint or coconut to enhance the flavors to go with certain cakes. I love adding in a dash of coconut or mint extract for chocolate cakes. You may need more or less powdered sugar or heavy whipping cream.
