Easy Oreo Truffles Recipe

3 ingredients to heaven! This oreo truffles recipe is easy, quick, and elegant. Very easy to change up the colors! Makes a great gift!
Serves: 24 truffles
  • 1 pack of Oreos
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (Ghirardelli)
  • 4 oz white chocolate (Bakers White Chocolate)
  1. ) Crush Oreos into fine crumbs in a food processor
  2. ) Place crushed Oreos into a large bowl
  3. ) Add cream cheese
  4. ) Use your fingers or two forks to blend the cream cheese with the Oreos until a dough forms.
  5. ) Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  6. ) Roll the cookie mixture into small balls
  7. ) Place balls on parchment paper and freeze for 15 minutes
  8. ) Melt semi-sweet chocolate in a double boiler
  9. ) Remove the balls from the freezer and place, one at a time, into the melted chocolate.
  10. ) Use two forks or a skewer to cover the balls with semi-sweet chocolate
  11. ) Place the balls back on the parchment paper
  12. ) Place back into the freezer for 10 minutes or until chocolate is set
  13. ) Melt white chocolate in doubler boiler
  14. ) Allow white chocolate to cool until warm and place into a piping bag or (zip-lock bag with the corner snipped off.)
  15. ) Drizzle the white chocolate onto the chocolate coated balls.
  16. ) Place back into the freezer for 5 minutes or until white chocolate is set.
  17. ) Enjoy! Store in the refrigerator.
Cook time is freeze time. TIPS Create any color you want by dying white chocolate with food coloring! Sprinkle on chopped nuts or rolls the truffles in cocoa powder for a different look! This works with all sandwich cookies so try changing it up! (use peanut butter sandwich cookies) Store in the refrigerator
