“Easy creamy chicken noodle soup recipe loaded with chunks of chicken, onions, carrots, celery, fresh parsley, noodles and garlic in a savory, creamy broth. Even more comforting than regular chicken noodle soup!”
This fresh, easy, creamy chicken noodle soup is quickly becoming my favorite. Every year I tend to crave a particular soup all season long. Last year it was broccoli cheddar soup and this year it’s creamy chicken noodle soup. I’m ashamed to say how many times I’ve made it. We can’t seem to get enough of it around here and it’s a true winner since Isaac & Ethan likes it.
This creamy chicken noodle soup comes together so easily too especially when you cheat and use leftover rotisserie chicken. I’ve been so busy lately that I’ve been cheating a lot with Targets rotisserie chickens. We always have leftovers so I whip up this soup to get rid of it.
If you thought regular homemade chicken noodle soup was cozy and comforting then wait until you taste his luscious, creamy cousin. This creamy chicken noodle soup is full of all the fresh flavors of homemade chicken noodle soup like chunks of chicken, carrots, celery, onions, garlic, fresh parsley and noodles but with a creamy twist.
If you normally love cream based soups then you MUST try this one. I knew I was going to fall in love when I first made this soup because I can never resist a creamy style soup (um heeellllo creamy cheeseburger soup)
This is pure comfort food so don’t go asking me about calories and thang. I’m not sure I want to know since I’ve had many, many…. many bowls. Lord help me. If you’re looking for an easy, quick, filling and delicious dinner to make on a crisp fall or winter evening then this is what you want honey!
Watch me make this creamy chicken noodle soup from start to finish!

There is a great reason you call your sites Divas Can Cook. That is because Divas CAN COOK. God bless you.
I’ve made this soup several times. I love this recipe. Delicious!
This is an excellent recipe. I cook soups or stews for Tuesday evenings all winter for members and guests of our ELKS LODGE in Victorville, California. This week I served this to 20 some people, all of whom loved it. I doubled it, which is easy enough to do. My highest compliments to you for sharing this great recipe. Perfect comfort food for cold High Desert nights!
Have to tell you when anyone in the family has a cold or not feeling well I get a request to make this soup. I also make this for neighbors, this is definitely comfort food. Only rave reviews for this wonderful soup. To help with time I always buy chicken when on sale, cook, pull and freeze for later use. Thank you for this recipe.
We have been eating this recipe for about a year now. It is absolutely wonderful. The first creamy chicken noodle soup recipe that we have tried that we wouldn’t change one single ingredient. It’s so comforting and just makes me smile thinking about it!!
This is my husband’s favorite meal that I cook and he’s not even a soup person, so that says a LOT about this recipe. It’s so delicious and yummy. I HAD to leave a comment.
I used left over turkey instead of chicken, and added a bit of garlic powder to the cream. Everyone enjoyed the soup! Perfect meal for the family when you need something that’s not only delicious BUT quick.
My husband is usually not into chicken noodle soups, but asked if I’d keep this one. No kids complained either! (That’s the ultimate compliment in our house.) It’s a winner!
The description mentions garlic, but there is no garlic in the recipe? This is my kids favorite recipe (we pulverize instead of chop the veggies).
Great recipe! I’ve made it three times and I’m about to make it again. First for a seniors luncheon at my church then at home. I got rave reviews when I shared with my co-workers. They moaned like food “whores”. Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!
So good! After discovering this recipe a few months ago I’ve made it three times! Perfect winter staple.
Only note: garlic is mentioned in the video but not in the recipe. We add in the beginning. Makes a big difference! Since there is no measurement for parsley I just eyeball it. Also I love to add Lawry’s Seasoned Salt and pair it with a crusty parmesan bread.
So delish and easy to make. Will definitely make again.
This was delicious! A few comments –
The recipe doesn’t mention how much parsley. I just added as I saw fit.
Mentions 1/4 cup of butter but if you are using 2 tbs to cook the veggies, the other 2 tbs is not enough to make the roux. I ended up using 3+ tbs when mixing the four for the roux to make sure it didn’t get clumpy.
At the end, I thought the soup was yummy but was missing a little flavor. I added seasoned salt and a bit of garlic powder (next time I’ll add some garlic to the veggies). The seasoned salt made it SO good. I paired with crusty bread and nearly licked the bowl clean 😉
Very good and easy to make. Have made a lot of your recipes and all have turned out good!!!! Thanks a bunch for all that you do.
I made this delicious soup tonight for dinner and it was a hit! Thank you so much for the great recipe. This is a keeper. This creamy chicken noodle soup is delicious and simple too. It will replace my other chicken noodle soup recipe, LOL I used chicken from a rotisserie chicken I got at the grocery store. Delicious!
