Homemade Creamy Tartar Sauce
Mmmm.. fried fish just isn’t the same without yummy tartar sauce on the side. I normally purchase tartar sauce from the store but since I got this recipe I prefer the homemade kind.
It’s simple, quick, & creamy just the way I like it. I get so many wonderful recipes sent to me and I can’t for the life of me remember who sent this, so if you gave me this recipe please let me know so I can sing your praises!
I highly suggest letting it sit for an hour or two before serving it. The first time I made this I served it as soon as I was done mixing it and I was highly disappointed. It tasted just like some regular old mayonnaise.
IÂ tried it again the next day and it was delicious! The flavors really need a chance to combine well.
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup dill relish
- 1t. Dried parsley
- 1 T. lemon juice
- 1 t. minced onion
- 1/4 t. Worcestershire sauce
- In a bowl, combine all ingredients.
- Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Serve!
so easy, A+ recipe! tried it last night. tastes great. we made it at last minute so it only had about 30 mins in fridge but it was yummy regardless. plenty left so its probably even better now thats it had its time to sit.
Can you a recipe for a honey baked ham
I was looking for a tartar sauce recipe for like SO long. I was going to make tilapia tomorrow and figured that I was suppose to make tartar sauce to go with it. I really don’t like store-bought sauce. My opinion is that homemade is way much better. Don’t you think? Well, thanks so much for sharing your best recipes on a website. 🙂
