I thought these were pretty darn good. If I was a kid I would so think these things were heaven. I can totally see what all the hype is about. They’re fun to look at, fun to make and fun to eat!
Little hands can’t resist these! |
You would have thought I told him we were going to Disney World. He couldn’t stop smiling while looking at these. |

This was a very good recipe, I'm not sure if the measurments were exactly right because yours looked a lont looser on camera. but it was still good..
Hi Monique. I was doing a google search and I stumbled upon your blog. I love your recipes and I think you have a great personality as well. I noticed that you use a lot of butter-flavored Crisco shortening and was wondering if you realized how bad it is for you?
I know that it is hard to give up certain foods, especially if they taste good, however, that particular brand is known for having hydrogenated oils in them. I use an organic shortening by the name of Spectrum and it is a good product. Although it doesn't come in the butter flavored variety, I still love it. I would also like to know if you ever make 30 minute healthy meals? I am looking for healthy dinner ideas so that I can lose some weight. I'd love to see what you come up with. Thank you for the good recipes and keep up the good work. By the way, how old is your son?
I tell you the same as Paula Dean told Oprah….She is cooking….NOT THE DOCTOR…I and many others enjoy the recipes just the way they are,if you have issue with them or health problems don’t be greedy modify them or look else where. This young Lady never said she was a health Guru, She is offering her mother and grandmother recipes and WE ALL KNOW WHAT THAT MEAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t understand why some people come on certain websites expecting the creator of the website to change the site just for them. If you’re looking for “healthy dinner ideas” so you can lose weight maybe you should check out weight watchers. They have a website. On another note, love this blog and the recipes just as they are! Keep up the good work!
Great recipe and your son is a cutie pie.
He is just adorable! Hope to see more of your little man and keep the recipes coming 🙂
p.s. you might want to add the sprinkles to the ingredients list as well in case someone glances at it before going to the store
omg he sounded soooo cute pronouncing things (even though I think I went deaf on some words but its ok lol)
