Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders
Bacon + Chicken. This sounds like a win already, but add on lots of savory spices and a chili powder- brown sugar mixture and my friends let me tell ya, you have a triple threat. The perfect blend of sweet-smokey-spicy. I made this for lunch and we loved it. Even Isaac liked it which was surprising because they have a little spicy kick to them and that boy does not like spiciness.
I wasn’t sure how I was gonna like it seeing that the chicken and bacon was tossed in brown sugar and chili powder and I don’t really like sweet tasting meat too much. Boy was I wrong. It was sweet but the other flavors totally balanced it all out. It was like a little party of flavors in my mouth, all happily mingling together. When they are served piping hot out of the oven they really taste like they’ve been grilled!
I’ve had something very similar to this in a bite-size, appetizer form but the chicken wasn’t seasoned before-hand so I wasn’t all that impressed. Seasoning makes them like whoa! You can really throw on any seasonings that you like but I’ve included a blend below that I like to use. It’s simple.
Serve with broccoli and mashed potatoes for super yummy meal!

Made this for my five brothers and sisters and my parents… it’s in the oven right now! Incredibly simple and quick but smells amazing! And bacon and chicken? Add the brown sugar and you have a meal worth dying for! I wont do that though…. I’ll be too busy eating this chicken! XD
I made this last night for my husband and he looked confused when I was tossing it in brown sugar, but boy did he love them. I made 10 as suggested and he only left me 3. TOTALLY AMAZING! Thank you. You never fail me lol
These were beyond delicious. I baked some but I placed most of them on the grill. They were so good that my brother made a chicken tender run to the supermarket so I could make more. Definitely a keeper!
So easy and so yummie. Thank you Monique
I doubled this recipe and used pork bacon and left out the chili powder. Everyone loved the chicken. There was no leftovers! Thanks for a delicious recipe!
OMG! I made these before I left for training and I was thinking about them the whole time I was gone! So good! I can’t get home fast enough to make them again! I used a thick cut bacon the first time and I had to put them under the broiler to crisp up the bacon. Next time I will use thinner bacon. Ugh, my mouth is watering just thinking about them! I’m down 15lbs so this is worth a cheat meal!
