Apple Pie Bread
I’ve had a really productive Sunday. I usually get a lot done around the house when the weather is cold and windy like today. It puts me in the mood to clean and/or bake!
So I’ve cleaned out my refrigerator, organized my spice drawer and prepped dinner for the entire week. I also managed to bake up this amazing apple pie bread. I’ve been drowning in apples all week after getting a great deal at the Farmers Market. I make apple pie bread religiously around this time of year. I love how it just scents up the entire  house  with those warm, comforting autumn spices.
This apple pie bread recipe bakes up super soft and moist. The crumb topping is to die for. I made this bread around 2:00 pm and it’s now 9:36 pm and it’s almost gone. It never lasts long around here especially after my husband gets to it. He eat huge slabs with his coffee and my toddler loves this stuff.
Cooking time may vary especially depending on the type of loaf pan you use. I prefer using glass loaf pans. Keep a close eye on it after the first hour. The bread is done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVERWORK THE FLOUR. STIR JUST UNTIL COMBINED.

Hi Monique, I tried this OUTSTANDINGLY AWESOME recipe over the last weekend, and oh my! The above words do not do your recipe ANY justice! Down here in Australia, we have nothing that compares to how exquisite this bad boy is (well maybe the Pavlova)! Thank you from the bottom of my heart/stomach for enlightening me on the pleasure that is… Apple Pie Bread!
Monique, Thanks so much for this recipe…making anything from scratch scares me..I”m the store box type =). Made the Apple Pie Bread this Morning all three of my kids and Hubby Loved it went perfect with Chai tea.
Monique,
Thank you so very much for the time and effort that you put into your blog. I understand that it is nothing less than true passion for what you do that keeps you going. You are much appreciated. Also, thanks to your son and husband for sharing a part of you with us. Keep up the good work.
I rarely comment, but I just wanted to say thank you so much for the time and talent you continually and FREELY share with the world. May many blessings come back to you and yours.
I’m making this bread right now! I have a bunch of apples that I didn’t know what to do with so this recipe came right on time!!
So far it smells delicious. Can’t wait to eat it! 🙂
Gosh, I agree with Alicia, why cant you take the time out to write out the recipe directions, what if we want to make a print out??? I think you are being a lazy blogger :S
I just addressed this issue in a video that I’m uploading as I type. I actually had to laugh out loud at the word “lazy” because just like most hard-working women I don’t get that privilege.
Here’s the thing…. I use to take step-by-step photos of my recipes and include the directions with each step. It was taking me a LONG time to post recipes since it just required so much time to type it all out along with upload and editing the photos. I then went to doing the video recipes with only an ingredients list which others agreed they liked it a lot better if it meant they would get more recipes a month plus a step-by-step video in the process. (it was win-win)
But here is a prime example of the phrase “you can’t please everybody!”
I do not think I’m a lazy blogger AT ALL!! I’m a hands-on mommy, wife, own a full-time business, homeschool my son, take great care of my home, and still manage to keep up a blog which any regular food blogger will tell you, is A LOT of work especially when you do 100% of the work and video recipes yourself.
Sooooo….if I’m taking the time out to make and share free video recipes that others might find helpful, post it on my site, edit the videos, post the ingredients, take a photo…. and you can’t take a couple of minutes to write out the steps then maybe I’m not the one being lazy. This blog is a hobby. I hope I’m not coming off as rude…just saying Robyn. Try to see things from a different angle before labeling someone as lazy or anything else for that matter.
Good for you Monique! Some times you have to let them know lol. Some people can be very unappreciative. Your doing a great job, keep it up.
P.S, I am also a busy mom of two toddlors, a wife, work full time as a nurse but I still find time to write these great recipes down. It only takes a few seconds because they are worth it. You can’t expect people to do everything for you. Again great job and keep them coming.
Well said Monique!! I can’t really believe people sometimes, I mean you are doing this for free, you have absolutely no obligation to do this, your recipes are amazing but still some people always find something to complain about!! I really appreciate all the work you put into your blog!
And to the people that complain about the instructions, what I usually do is put my tablet on an easel in the kitchen and watch the video as I cook, maybe this will help.
Anyway, THANKS Monique!! My bread is in the oven, I will let you know how it turns out!
Monique, my mouth dropped after I read this person’s post. However, your response was very well stated (probably much better than a response I would have given). I totally second everything Natacha wrote especially regarding the appreciation of all the work you put into your blog! As a matter of fact, I also use my iPad in the kitchen to watch your video instructions as I cook. It works out just fine!
Leave Monique alone!!!! She’s no where near lazy & i appreciate what she’s doin!!! Stop bein so negatv tht’s why ppl gt dscouraged & stop helpn others!!! I luv her recipes n tips & if u don’t thn leave her blog!!! smh…
