Homemade Vegetable Fruit Juice recipe -kid approved juicer recipe
I’ve been making this homemade vegetable fruit juice for Isaac for over a year now. And not to sound all Hallmark or Clever-ish but I really do feel amazing when I see him gulp this down. I don’t know any mom that wouldn’t feel good about providing their babies with healthy foods and actually seeing them enjoying them and being excited about it.
He LOVES this homemade vegetable fruit juice but it wasn’t always that way. It took some experimenting for me to come up with a blend that he liked that had both fruits and vegetables and tasted better than his beloved Apple & Eve or any other pasteurized, thin, concentrated juice from the grocery store.
I started with just fruits and then slowly started adding the kale and carrots. He still will not drink it if he can see the ugly color in the cup so I put it in a sippy cup or colored sports bottle. Kids!! : )
This juice recipe is not only great for getting kids excited and interested in drinking fruits and veggies but it’s also great if you are new to juicing. I use to HATE drinking vegetable juice when I first started, but as I slowly increased the amount of veggies I got used to it and actually like the taste of all veggie juices now(recipes coming up)
One thing that I’ve noticed since we’ve been juicing and he’s been helping, is that he isn’t really picky anymore. He will happily try most new things, especially vegetables and loves actually eating the raw kale now. Something he use to gag on.
If you have a picky one on your hands, then I would definitely suggest juicing. It’s fun, colorful, healthy, great teaching tool and it’s exciting to try new blends. Start with fruits firsts so that they trust what comes out of the juicer and slowly add in the veggies. Eventually they’ll get that natural craving to snack on the raw fruits and vegetables just as much as drinking them.
This homemade vegetable fruit juice is full of pure, fresh vitamins and minerals. Drink immediately if possible.

2.) Start off with small amounts of juice and dilute with water if needed.
