Bacon Cheddar Ranch Pasta Salad Recipe
I use to nail those Hamburger Helper ranch pasta salad meals when they first came out. Now I think they are downright disgusting!! Maybe it’s because I have so many wonderful homemade pasta salads in my collection. One of my favorites is this bacon cheddar ranch pasta salad.
This creamy, cold pasta salad is bursting with fresh ingredients like tomatoes, broccoli, crisp bacon, cheddar, olives, and red onions. The ranch-mayo dressing is the perfect balance to provide flavor and creaminess without overpowering the other ingredients.
Makes a great summer side dish but I’ve eaten this for lunch on many occasions, it’s pretty filling.
*NOTE* I always make and dress this pasta salad as soon as I’m ready to serve it. This makes for a creamy, beautiful pasta salad with crisp veggies and bacon. If it sits overnight the pasta starts to absorb some of the sauce and the bacon and veggies begin to soften. (Still yummy but not as pretty and crunchy)
Watch me make this creamy, bacon cheddar ranch pasta salad from start to finish!

- Drain pasta and rinse with cold water until pasta is cool.
- Add drained pasta to a large bowl.
- Add in the bacon, broccoli, red onions, black olives, and tomatoes.

- In a small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, ranch dressing, garlic, and oregano.
- When ready to serve, mix the dressing in with the pasta mixture until well coated.
- Serve immediately.

I had to make a pasta salad for a work cookout and I immediately came to your website because your recipes have yet to disappoint. The dish was as always DELISH and my co-workers ate it up. I only made one modifications. My husband went to the store for me and purchased the thin and crispy turkey bacon instead of the reg turkey bacon. Well it was way to crispy and crumbly to add to the dish so I improvised and put it in the food processor and made bacon bits 🙂 Next time I will buy the thicker bacon. Still good though!!
I just made this for my family’s 4th of July party. This is the first time I’ve made a pasta salad like this & I’m a Grandma! I used fresh garlic, broccoli, red onion, dried oregano all from my garden. The dressing was fabulous. I doubled the batch & it is delicious & pretty! Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
omg!!!! i have made this like 5 times its soooo good was a BIG HIT!
This was SO good! I actually added in some pieces of cooked chicken and my family just LOVED it. Thanks so much for the awesome recipe, I will definitely keep making it 😀 The best pasta salad I have ever had!
I made this salad with a few variations…left out the broccoli and onions and added green peppers. It was a HIT! There was none leftover to take home-which was good, but I wouldn’t have minded having some extra. 🙂
Everybody loved it!
